A water company added a new regional metering case sharing

Project Background:

In order to improve the efficiency of water resource utilization and effectively narrow the gap between production and sales, a tap water company recently organized and implemented a regional metering project for urban water supply networks. The project divided the water supply network into regional management by installing regional electromagnetic flow meters and other equipment on the water supply pipelines.

Project Analysis:

Water supply zone metering is to install flow meters in the water supply network to form relatively independent areas, and actively control leakage by measuring and analyzing the amount of water entering or flowing out of the area. After the implementation of water supply zone metering, the urban water supply network will be able to accurately control leakage, reduce the leakage rate of the water supply network, and avoid the waste of water resources caused by leakage. It can not only achieve the overall goal of saving urban water resources, but also improve the level of water supply management and ensure the safety of urban water supply. The transformation of household water meters is the basic work of water supply zone metering. Its core is to realize the intelligent transformation of user water meters, realize accurate metering through remote data transmission, and grasp the user’s water use situation in real time. Once leakage and other problems are found, they can be dealt with in the first time to reduce user losses.

Electromagnetic flowmeter

The electromagnetic flowmeter consists of two parts: the sensor and the converter. Its working principle is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction and is used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquids with a conductivity greater than 5μS/cm. It is an inductive meter used to measure the volume flow of conductive media. In addition to measuring the volume flow of general conductive liquids, it can also measure the volume flow of highly corrosive liquids such as strong acids and alkalis, as well as uniform liquid-solid two-phase suspensions such as mud, slurry, and slurry.
